My Design

I am going to start with my child's dressing table.

This is a simple design, with a clear princess theme as the crown and pinkness is the strongest thing about it.

Again the pink and the crown I really like. It feels royal with the strong, curved, structure and I do really like that there's a mirror involved.

This one is different, but I do like the curtains underneath. There s no crown, but is clearly for a child, as it's small and still pink.

I really like this design, however I feel when creating a full 3D scene it might be a little difficult, time wise, to recreate something as detailed as this dresser. It has really nice details around the mirror, and the theme of the Cinderella film is shown around it, with the mice and the carriage wheels. This dresser also has bolder colours, and two draws. Making the whole dresser, even though made of plastic, looks more intricate and seems like what a child would prefer to own.
These plastic dressers do seem to come up quite a lot and is something I should consider when creating mine.

I think after looking at these few dressing tables, I have decided that mine shall at least have a pink colour pallet to it, with a centred mirror and girly theme, whether that shall be a princess crown or intricate curls around the edges of draws and the mirror etc.

The measurements for the my sweet vanity dressing table are 27.5" x 12.5" x 40.5" Stool 14"x13"x13" and this can help me calculate UU's. 36.7UU x 16.7UU x 54UU as there are 0.75" in 1UU.

This image gives me a rough idea of what I can include on the dressing table.
I want to have a brush and some jewellery with a few bits of child makeup and possibly a soft toy.

I know for definite I'd like a child's hair brush, and after looking around I have decided that I want to include this specific hairbrush I have found.

 

top: 21.5cm x 6.5cm x 4.3 cm = 11.3UU x 3.4UU x 2.3UU

bottom: 1cm x 3cm = 0.525UU x 1.6UU

 I took a photo of each angle so I can understand what the hairbrush completely looks like, and so I am able to model it accurately. Although I do think some aspects of the final out come shall be different to this real brush. I like the pink, and the unicorn design, and it's big easy grip style.

I also want some hair accessories:

I have also found some necklaces and hair accessories that I shall take inspiration from. These will be different as they are brands I do not wish to completely copy. However I now know exactly what a child would love in accessories.

31cm x 4.5cm x 3.3cm = 16.3UU x 2.4UU x 1.7UU

I also want to include a little child makeup:

16.5cm x 13cm x 4cm = 8.7UU x 6.8UU x 2.1UU

15.5 cm = 8.1

and nail varnish:

 and to top it off a 'favourite' soft toy, preferably a unicorn. However I shall reference a similar toy that is big:

(Some of the quality in these images are limited as they have been taken on my phone. This is just because of easy access to it, and means I can accumulate references everywhere I go as I always have my phone on me.)

These images have then allowed me to fully go into what I want my objects to look like.

This is an idea of what I would like in my scene. And I have continued to create loose model sheets for each main object I shall include.

I haven't added colour as these are just for the form and understand of how I may model them. I know that my colour theme is as shown above and will stick to this princess colours.
